Star Rentals is a family owned kayak and tube rent-out business located on CR 350 in beautiful and scenic Concan, Texas. Star Rentals has been renting innertubes and kayaks to vacationing guests of the Leakey, Rio Frio and Concan area for many years. We appreciate our many returning customers who come to us each time they visit the Frio River for water fun.

    From the Dallas - Ft. Worth area... Take I-35 South to Austin...

    From the Austin area... Take US 290 West to Fredericksburg. In Fredericksburg take Hwy 16 West towards Kerrville.
    At I-10 turn right and go West on I-10 West to Hwy 41. Take Hwy 41 West to US Hwy 83. Take US Hwy 83 South through Leakey. Stay on US Hwy 83 South 9 miles to CR 350.
    Turn left on 350 and continue about 2 miles and watch for Star Rentals on the left.

    From Houston... Take I-10 West towards San Antonio. In San Antonio as you travel west on I-10 stay to the left to remain on US Hwy 90 West...

    From San Antonio Take US Hwy 90 West to Sabinal. At the traffic signal in Sabinal turn right on Hwy 127. Stay left on 127 as you leave Sabinal, taking 127 to Concan. Take US Hwy 83 North at Concan to CR 350.
    Turn right on 350 and continue about 2 miles and just watch for Star Rentals on the left.

    • Garner State Park
      A five minute's drive North of Star Rentals, Garner State Park is truly one of the greatest wonders of Natural Texas beauty. It is is 1419.8 acres (10 water acres of the Frio River) of preserved and untouched local flora and fauna.

      It is open 7 days a week and also has a dance every night for teenagers. Garner State Park was acquired in 1934-36 and was named for John Nance Garner (Cactus Jack) of Uvalde, who served as Vice-President of the United States from 1933-41
    • Devil's Sinkhole

      Formerly part of the Whitworth Ranch, is a 1859.7-acre area located approximately six miles northeast of Rocksprings in Edwards County. It was acquired in 1985 and was opened to limited access in 1992. The Sinkhole property does not front a public roadway. Access to the park can be obtained only by contacting Kickapoo Cavern State Park to prearrange a tour. Access into the Sinkhole is prohibited. A per person fee is charged for participation in prearranged tours. Call Kickapoo Cavern for information on tour dates and fees.

      Located along the Sabinal River in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, 2,208-acre Lost Maples State Natural Area Designated as a National Natural Landmark, and contains the state's largest stand of bigtooth maples east of the Guadalupe Mountains.
